Adoption Process

So you've fallen in love, what next?!

Step One:

Fill out an adoption application found below or on the tab up top labeled, "Application to Adopt."

Step Two:

Notify your 3 references that we will be contacting them over the next few days.  Your references need to be people that know you well and can tell us more about you and your lifestyle.

Step Three:

We will contact your references, landlord if applicable and current veterinarian to ensure your current pets are up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered.  All pets in the home MUST BE spayed, neutered, current on heartworm prevention and fully vaccinated to be considered for adoption.

Step Four:

We will contact you and arrange a time for you to either meet the pet if you have not already, or schedule a home check if you have already met the pet and are sure its the one.

Home Check: A volunteer will come to your home to make sure it is a safe environment for the animal.  Be prepared for them to walk your fence line if applicable, ask where the pet will be staying when you are and are not home and possibly some basic training and care questions.

***PLEASE ALLOW 7-14 DAYS FOR THIS ENTIRE PROCESS TO HAPPEN***

All dogs have a  $200 adoption fee. Cats are $150. This fee covers current vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip and deworming.   Heartworm positive dogs or medical dogs will have their care paid for by the rescue until healthy.

Our animals are our family.  We hope that when you adopt from us you also gain new friendships.  We like to keep in contact with all of our animals and  enjoy holiday photos and updates. We consider ourselves the "God Parents" to our pets and are always available for any questions or concerns you may have after adoption. As stated in the Adoption Agreement Form, ALL pets must be returned to the rescue if for any reason things do not work out.
